Firenze, 18 maggio 2022 - Da lunedì 23 maggio torna nel centro storico di Firenze la linea C2 che collega la zona di Porta al Prato con piazza Beccaria passando nei pressi della stazione di Santa Maria Novella e piazza Signoria. Dopo 2 anni di stop viene quindi ripristinato integralmente il servizio e le corse dei bussini in centro, rimasti per molti mesi fermi per le regole sulla capienza dei mezzi dettate dall’emergenza pandemica. "Con il ritorno della C2 si completa la riattivazione delle linee in centro storico – sottolinea l’assessore alla Mobilità Stefano Giorgetti – con un importante miglioramento del servizio e dell’efficienza del trasporto pubblico. Per potenziare ed ampliare ulteriormente il Tpl stiamo lavorando all’estensione dell’orario più lungo del servizio come la tramvia e all’attivazione di una quinta linea che collegherà Porta Romana alla Fortezza". Nei mesi scorsi sono state già riattivate la C1 (a dicembre) e la C3 (ad aprile) in aggiunta alla linea C4 (ex D) rimasta sempre in funzione. Per svolgere il servizio della linea C2 saranno utilizzati 7 bus elettrici Tecnobus Gulliver, con capienza di 25 persone. La linea C2 sarà operativa dalle 7 alle 20.30 dal lunedì al sabato (dalle 8.30 alle 20.30 la domenica), con circa 200 corse giornaliere, una ogni 8 minuti, collegando la zona di Porta a Prato con piazza Beccaria in circa 24 minuti e 27 fermate. Il percorso in direzione di Piazza Beccaria attraverserà parte del centro storico passando da Il Prato, via degli Orti Oricellari, via Alamanni (passando dalla zona della Stazione di Santa Maria Novella), via Panzani, via dei Pecori, Calimala, via dei Tavolini, via Ghibellina, via dei Macci, piazza Ghiberti, via Leopardi. Il percorso in direzione Leopolda partendo da Piazza Beccaria transita da via dell’Agnolo, via dell’Oriuolo, via del Proconsolo, via della Porta Rossa, piazza della Repubblica, piazza dell’Olio, via Panzani, passando da Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia per poi transitare da via Benedetta, via Maso Finiguerra, Borgo Ognissanti e via Solferino.
