Fines

  • You can pay it:

    • on board, directly to the staff when they check your ticket.

    • at a LIS point, using the barcodes found on the notice.

    Note: if you pay the fine on the bus or afterward, you cannot appeal with a written defense.

    Read carefully the instructions on the fine notice; they will help you understand how to use the barcodes for payment!

  • Write to us using our “Talk to at” form, with the subject “Duplicate Fine”, and attach the specific form that you can download from this page: https://www.at-bus.it/en/fines

    Note: submitting the request does not suspend the deadlines for the fine.

  • We recommend waiting for a response from the fines office. 
    Fines follow an administrative process that requires formal steps and certifications, so the reply may take longer than a standard information request.

     

  • The fine notice contains all the instructions for submitting a written defense, which you can also find here:https://www.at-bus.it/en/fines

    Note: submitting an appeal does not stop the payment deadlines. 
    Remember that if you pay the fine, you cannot contest it.

    TIPS: if you received a fine but have a valid pass, you can go within 15 days to one of our ticket offices, where you will find the Defensive statement form to fill out. Bring the fine notice, your travel ticket, and your health card (or tax code) with you.
