Life is like a bus journey. There are the places you depart from, the ones you arrive at, and in between, plenty of stops, detours, ups and downs, interruptions, people who accompany us for a while, landscapes passing outside the window, and destinations to reach.

Torpedone is a 10-stop journey across Tuscany that tells the stories and lives of 10 local heroes.

Literally, torpedone is an Italian term used to describe a large coach, often used for group tours or day trips. It carries a nostalgic '60s–'80s vibe, evoking classic excursion or pilgrimage buses, complete with reclining seats and curtains on the windows.

The term derives from the French torpédo, originally used for early 20th-century long-body open-top cars, and later extended to buses.

Torpedone thus brings to mind the buses of yesteryear — the ones from school field trips, shared travels, and conversations along the way.

Starting January 20th on our YouTube channel, with one stop per province and one guest per episode, each interview features a local hero sharing stories of their area, fun facts, and the most meaningful moments of their journey.

Welcome aboard Torpedone — enjoy the show!
