Va' dove ti porta il bus

Reading a timetable, spotting the right stop, getting to school on your own—navigating a city is a skill, and it’s best learned at a young age.

Va' dove ti porta il bus (Go Where the Bus Takes You) is an initiative by Autolinee Toscane aimed at primary and lower secondary school students. The project is designed to encourage public transit use among young people, equip them with the tools to travel independently, and help them discover bus travel as a way to appreciate their city's rich history, art, and tourism.

Each year, the initiative is developed in collaboration with the Regional Education Office (Ufficio Scolastico Regionale) and supported by Cooperativa Sociale Itinera.

The third edition, held during the 2025/2026 school year, saw record-breaking participation: 95 classes and 1,976 students from over 50 schools across thirty municipalities in all ten Tuscan provinces. From Elba Island to Lunigiana, and Val di Chiana to Versilia—reaching both major urban centers and small mountain schools—the project truly spanned the entire region from end to end.
