The passenger is subject to a penalty in case of non-compliance with travel rules at the time of verification:
the user does not have a valid travel ticket
the user has a valid travel ticket, but it has not been validated/activated at the time of boarding
the user has not tapped in case of contactless payment on board.

Penalty appeal
If the passenger believes they have complied with the travel rules, it is possible to send a penalty appeal, which will be evaluated by the travel ticket verification office through the necessary checks.
The penalty appeal must be submitted within 30 days from the notification (in case of a minor, it must be submitted by a parent or guardian), by sending the "penalty appeal form" which can be downloaded from this page or obtained from our official ticket offices. The submission of a penalty appeal pursuant to Article 9 (L.R. 81/2000) does not interrupt the payment terms in minimum, reduced, and full form.
The request, including the "Penalty Appeal Form" duly completed in all its parts, must be sent using one of the following methods:

Pec: sanzioni.at@pec.it (please note that the dispute sent via pec must be received only through a certified email box)
We inform you that the payment of a penalty results in the termination of the procedure for the application of the monetary penalty, even in case of submission of a penalty appeal (Article 8 L.R. 81/2000), except in cases expressly provided by law.
