From the Airport
- From Florence A. Vespucci Airport, you can reach the city center in about 20 minutes by taking tram line T2 - (ticket price €1.70, valid for 90 minutes).
- From Pisa G. Galilei Airport, you can reach the city center by taking urban bus line 3+ - (ticket price €1.70, valid for 70 minutes)
From Florence Santa Maria Novella Railway Station
From the “Santa Caterina” bus station, just a few steps from the railway station, you can reach:
- Siena, with line 131 or 131R, in about 1 hour and 20 minutes (ticket price €9.30)
- Grosseto, with express line 50G, in about 2 hours (ticket price €15.60)
From Other Florence Hubs
- From Montelungo hub (Piazzale Montelungo) and Vittorio Veneto hub (Piazza Vittorio Veneto), you can reach the main Chianti destinations with the extra‑urban line 365 A.
- From T2 Guidoni hub, you can: Reach Lucca in about 60 minutes with line DD (ticket price €8.40); Travel to Florence Airport using tram line T2
- From Montelungo hub, you can also use the Tootbus service to visit Florence, Pisa, Siena, and San Gimignano by coach, at your own pace.

From Pisa Railway Station
From Pisa train station, you can take buses to reach:
- Volterra, with line 840 and then changing to line 500, in about 1.5 hours (ticket price €7.40); alternatively, you can take the train to Pontedera and then continue with line 500
- Lucca, with line E3, in about 30 minutes (ticket price €3.90)
- Seaside destinations near Pisa: Marina di Pisa, Tirrenia, Calambrone, and Marina di Vecchiano (lines 10, 20, 70), or you can take the free NM sea shuttle, available only during the summer
