You can request compensation for any damage to property or persons attributable to our responsibility, within the minimum limits set by current regulations, such as:

damage involuntarily caused to third parties by the circulation of vehicles (including passengers transported for any reason);
damage caused by the circulation or parking of out-of-service vehicles in private areas even if not owned by the contractor;
damage to luggage and items generally transported by third parties even if not constituting real luggage, excluding money, valuables, and securities. Also included are damages involuntarily caused by the circulation of the vehicle to clothing, whether worn or not;
damage caused to passengers when boarding or disembarking from the vehicle;
damage in case of loss or damage to wheelchairs, other mobility equipment, or assistance devices pursuant to EU Regulation 181/2011.

Compensation can be requested through direct or indirect reimbursement.

The CARD regime (Convention between Insurers for Direct Compensation) is an agreement between insurance companies that provides, in case of an accident, that compensation is guaranteed to the entitled party by their own insurance company without involving the counterpart's insurance.

The CARD regime applies in the following cases:

  • the accident occurred between two vehicles

  • the vehicles involved must be identified, registered in Italy, and have an active insurance policy (including the Republic of San Marino and Vatican City)
  • in case of injuries, the injuries must be considered minor, meaning they do not exceed the threshold of 9% permanent disability; in this case, the person who considers themselves damaged must draft and sign a damage claim to be sent directly to their insurance company.
