The paper ticket, whether “single” owhetheret,” must be validated in the machine when you get on the bus.

Keep the ticket in good condition so it remains readable throughout the journey, and show it if requested. It does not expire and cannot be transferred to others.

Note: If the validator doesn’t work due to lack of ink (it happens sometimes!), you must write the date and time of the start of your journey on the ticket with a pen.

If you are not a resident in Italy, visit this page: https://foreigners.at-bus.it/ , where you can download a temporary identification code (CIT) valid for 12 months.

With this code you can register and purchase your subscription. To do so, go here: https://www.at-bus.it/en/shop and upload the PDF with your code together with your ID document.

TIPS: When traveling, always keep the code with you - either on paper or on your smartphone - and show it in case of inspection.

It’s simple:

• On urban buses, you only need 1 TAP: hold your contactless card (or an enabled device) to the reader every time you board a bus.
• On interurban, express, or mixed-fare buses, you need 2 TAPS: one when you get on and one when you get off. This allows the system to calculate the correct fare based on your journey.

Note: If you forget to tap when getting off on interurban or mixed-fare buses, you will be charged the maximum fare, i.e., up to the terminus!
