About us
The Accessibility Roundtable for public transport was established on June 23, 2022, following an inaugural meeting promoted by Autolinee Toscane with regional associations representing people with reduced mobility, as required by the Company's Concession Agreement.
From the very first meeting, the need emerged to continue the dialogue in order to listen to the needs of passengers with special requirements and improve local public transport services. Today, the Roundtable meets once a month.
The following regional associations currently participate in the Roundtable:
UICI - Unione Italiana dei Ciechi e degli Ipovedenti, F.A.N.D. Toscana Federazione tra le Associazioni Nazionali delle persone con Disabilità , Associazione UNU – Uniti non ultimi, ENS – Ente Nazionale Sordi , FISH Onlus - Federazione Italiana per il Superamento dell'Handicap , Associazione Liberamente Abili.
The aim is to listen, understand difficulties, gather suggestions and share concrete proposals. All participants are active contributors to this ongoing dialogue.
The Roundtable is intended, above all, as a space for listening and collaboration, to identify the most effective solutions and make every public transport journey fairer, more accessible and more comfortable for everyone.
The Accessibility Roundtable welcomes requests and reports from citizens, associations and regulators.
Anyone wishing to submit suggestions or share observations may contact the member associations listed above directly, or Autolinee Toscane, which will act as an intermediary.
It is possible to submit requests to take part in the Roundtable meetings in order to present one’s views. In this case, a formal request must be sent to the associations that are part of the Roundtable or to Autolinee Toscane; participation will then be confirmed by means of a specific invitation.
The Roundtable reserves the right to admit qualified individuals in an advisory capacity, such as experts, institutional representatives or stakeholders with specific interests related to the topics under discussion.
