Children under 1 meter in height travel free of charge.

If accompanying more than one child under 1 meter, only one child travels free; a regular fare ticket must be purchased for any additional children.

The following travel conditions also apply:

  • Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by a parent with legal custody, a guardian, a foster parent, or another adult legally authorized to care for the child.
  • Minors between 10 and 18 years of age must also be accompanied by a parent with legal custody, a guardian, foster parent, or another legally responsible adult. They may travel with a different adult (over 18 years old) only if specifically authorized by a parent or legal guardian through a written delegation, which the minor must carry while using the service. They may travel unaccompanied only if explicitly authorized by a parent or legal guardian through a written declaration of responsibility, in the form of a self-certified statement pursuant to Article 47 of Presidential Decree 445/2000, which the minor must carry with them during the journey.
(A downloadable authorization template is available to assist passengers.)

The accompanying adult is responsible for supervising and caring for the child during the entire journey: at the stop, while boarding, during the trip, and while alighting from the vehicle, whether in motion or stationary.

In case of non-compliance with the above provisions—such as a minor traveling alone without proper authorization, or accompanied by an unauthorized person—full responsibility for supervision and safety lies solely with the parent, legal guardian, foster parent, or accompanying adult without proper delegation.

The company does not assume any responsibility for the supervision or care of minors at any stage of the journey, including waiting at the stop, boarding, riding, or exiting the bus.

Transport of Strollers and Other Child Safety Provisions

Strollers may be brought on board only if transport can be carried out safely. Entry must be through the middle door, after allowing passengers to disembark.

Open strollers are permitted only if:

  • the vehicle is approved for stroller transport,
  • there is visible signage allowing it,
  • and the bus is not crowded.

Strollers must be placed in designated areas, have the brakes locked, and be held securely by the accompanying adult using the appropriate safety mechanisms.

If the designated area is shared with other passengers (e.g., wheelchair users), priority must be given to passengers with disabilities.
If the space is unavailable, strollers must be folded, not occupy any seats, and not obstruct movement or pose a hazard to other passengers.

If transporting a stroller in the bus luggage compartment (if available), the luggage transport rules apply.

Child Seats and Restraint Systems

Children aged 0 to 3 years may travel using approved car seats, secured with the bus’s seat belts (if available).
It is the sole responsibility of the parent or legal guardian to bring an appropriate child seat on board and ensure the child travels safely.
The company accepts no responsibility for the suitability or legal compliance of child seats brought by passengers.

Children over 3 years old must travel using approved child restraint systems, if present on the vehicle and appropriate for their weight.

If the bus is not equipped with approved restraint systems, children must use standard seat belts (if present and compatible with the child’s size), but only if they weigh less than 36 kg.

Exemptions from the Use of Seat Belts and Restraint Systems

  • Passengers with medical conditions certified by local health authorities or competent authorities from another EU Member State, for whom the use of such devices is medically contraindicated.
The certificate must specify the validity period, bear the symbol required under Article 5 of Directive 91/671/EEC, and be shown upon request by police or control authorities.
  • Passengers traveling on public transport buses authorized to carry standing passengers in urban areas, who are exempt from the obligation to use seat belts or restraint systems.
